§ 1.3. Rights and Liabilities.

  • By the name of the Town of Parker, a municipal corporation, the Town shall have perpetual succession; shall own, possess and hold all property, real and personal heretofore owned, possessed and held by the Town, and does assume and shall manage and dispose of all trusts in any way connected therewith; shall succeed to all the rights and liabilities of the Town; shall acquire all benefits and does assume and shall pay all bonds, obligations and indebtedness of the Town; may sue and defend; may purchase, lease, receive, hold and enjoy, or sell and dispose of real and personal properties; may establish municipal water works, sewage disposal works, and water and sewer systems; shall have a common seal and alter the same at pleasure and to have all rights, powers, and liabilities applicable to Colorado home rule municipal corporations as set forth in Article XX of the Colorado Constitution and Title 31, Colorado Revised Statutes, as the same now exist or as they may either hereafter be amended.
