§ 9.17. [Park and Recreation Fund].

  • There is hereby established a fund to be known as the park and recreation fund which would consist of the one-half percent (0.5%) sales and the use tax established by Ordinance No. 8.09, Series of 1990; gifts and donations to such fund; proceeds of the sale of any park or recreation property or equipment whether real, personal or mixed; appropriations made to such fund by the town council; monies received from the State of Colorado lottery (conservation trust fund); interest earned on investments related to park and recreation property owned by the town or monies held in such fund; fees and charges assessed for park and recreation programs and use of park and recreation facilities; and grants, bequests, or appropriations from other governmental agencies, estates, or private foundations related to park and recreation purposes. Expenditures from such fund will only be used for park and recreation purposes.
