§ 13.2. Grant of Public Utility Franchises.

a.

Grants of public utility franchises and all extensions and amendments shall be granted only by ordinance. The granting of franchises by the Town shall be limited only by the provisions of the Constitution and statutes which may be applicable to home rule cities as now in effect or as hereafter amended and shall be submitted to the vote of the people if required by the State Constitution.

b.

No exclusive franchises shall be granted.
